whenever i exit academy mode, epsxe just crashes with the following error description

SPEC Opcode 0a UNK (PC 001f30d0) (001f30cc) (3915,1)

anyone have any idea why this happens?

i checked out the faq. the problem is that i don't want to stop using pete's open gl2 cuz it delivers the best graphics, i'm using a good iso and i wanna keep using epsxe...
also, i'm not loading any games so that's not the problem either.

any other possibilities?
