Well im not far into disk 2, and up until now its been smooth sailing with no problems what so ever....UNTIL i go Through the South Gate.
After i show the guard my pass and proceed through the gate, where i Should enter the over head map part...Instead i get crashed back to windows....

I tried it not using any save states but still no good.

Will i have to try find a save state after this event or is there another solution for this?

Im running ff9 from an ISO

Hyper Shinzo, How is the onboard video working for you, other than your obvious problem with FF9? I am curious, because I have an 815e board, and I have been hesitant to use the onboard video since I heard the performance was pretty bad. Besides, my Video Card is really touchy, and I was worried that other drivers would screw it up again. If it is ok in ePSXe though, I just might switch to onboard.

About your probelm though, Have you tried using other plugins? try using the OpenGL plugin, or the soft plugin. If these get you past that spot, then you should be able to save state after that, and continue using the D3D plugin if that's what works best for you.

I am currently at that part too. I got there, then I was stupid enough to buy a new Video Card that doesn't work with ePSXe, and I don't want to put my old one back in, since the new one is a fair bit faster. however, I can get by there without problems.

I've included my memory card, to help you troubleshoot. It has a bunch of crap on it, but I do have a Final Fantasy IX save at that part. Try it and see if it works or not.

EDIT: I realized that the save file was slightly past there, so I went back and changed it.

Yeah, I know. I could probably find some idiot that would buy this worthless piece of garbage (Kyro), but right now I have a dead car too. I have to get a new car before anything, and that is going to take a lot of money. I think I am just going to have to stop using ePSXe altogether, or put my old video card back in and try to get the two to live together.

Well It works perfectly well with ePSXe except Petes OpenGL (which it obviously doesnt support?)

Anyways im usin the 810e board (no agp slot) so my choises for upgrading are fairly limited, but im not to worried as i have yet to meet a problem with the onboard card...

And as for my FF9 problem, after trying everything possible to correct it, ive come to think that it was just a bad dump of the disk 2 ISO, as all the other disks work fine.

Also thanks ALOT for the save states, helped me alot in the troubleshooting process :)

Well im rambling now....Cya!
