"changes" meaning better fps/graphics
i currently have ati 9200(1.4ps)
and going to upgrade to geforce 6600GT (3.0ps) today.

i know 9500+ is 2.0ps (alot cheaper)
so i also want to know if there is a difference between 2.0 and 3.0ps
yea i have GSdx9 SSES
and i also have directx9c

also with 1.4 i have right now, my ffx keeps crashing(black screen) time to time.
i tried saving methods

im kind of new to this program so any help would be cool
thanks in advance

Well, in Bositman`s guide it says that it is recomended if you have ps3.0 to use it (he didn`t say why, and he didn`t sayd anything about ps 2.0 just "Pixel Shader 2.0: Will use Pixel Shaders v2.0,improving the graphics"). I don`t think you will get THAT much fps/graphic increase.
And ffx crashing isn`t a bug caused by ps1.4 I think. It just can`t load any new screen (so New Game won`t work).

I understand what you mean. Basicaly, like I said, I don`t think you would get that much of an increase in fps/graphics with ps3.0 (probably a 1-2 fps increase at max), but it would be nice to put it if your card supports it.
Other than that I don`t know what to tell you, as I didn`t try it with any pixel shaders (I have only a tiny little GeForce 2:cry:;will upgrade soon  :D ).
I suggest you buy that graphics card and see.Have fun.
