The authors have already done so much ! ePSXe just needs to have some improvements, I think.

- Better Dualshock support (no vibes in Metal Gear for the moment...)

- accurate sound

- Better compatibility (Parasite Eve 2...)

voila :)

I don't know if you'd already considered it (and if you have, I'm sorry for being redundant), but maybe you could create a .bat file that backs up your saves, then launches the emulator? Something like the following perhaps?

REM ==Savestate Backup File==
copy [path]/sstates/*.* [path]/savebak/.
epsxe

I dunno, that's not very robust, but you get the idea.

thanks for pointing that out but thats the way save states work in any emulator..
no emulator ever had an "undo" method as far as i know. thats the reason why you have multiple slots..

It just seems to me that regardless of the way you'd go about implementing this, at some level you'd probably *always* have to have two versions of the save file around: current and the "undo" save. You could merge the two into one file, but I'm fairly certain that'd break compatablity (which alot of emulator writers seem to be striving for, and so far as I'm concerned, with just cause), since you'd need to update the save routines in the other emulators as well. Otherwise you'd just create a temp file while saving and provide an option of reverting back to the info saved in temp.
 Just a thought.

I want a shut off button that will turn off the game. I's annoying when i have to close the program then load it up again when I have to configure the plugins or want to play another game. I also want better sound like in vgs, that would be great. Also, when you save over a savestate I'd like a pop up thing that will say "Do you want to save over theis state? Yes or no" Spme time is actidentally save over the wrong file. And change the logo, it looks so dumb the way it is.

Having ninjas poping out of the logo would look cool, but still, that's not really not what I had in mind. It looked best on version 1.0.1 .

Well you could use the epsxecutor program that comes in the installer. Setup multiple configs for eadch game then all you have to do to change games is to close as normal, insert the disk then click on configuration that you want. Much better.

how about adding saves within the savestates. like when you save on a savestate game then it should overwrite your save file from the mem card file.

coz when playing rpg's i tend to use save states a lot coz my pc hangs up randomly (and that's very annoying especially after defeating a boss in the game) just for back up reason but that disables me from loading files from my mem cards.

do you get what i'm saying???

i really think it would be great to have this feature especially for rpg's fanatics.
