I am downloading an update for my copy of WinXP right now. I guess that it won't be much longer until we see and SP. :lol:
Anyway, where do I get new themes (preferably free) for the XP?

You don't. At least not without a third party program eg Window Blinds 3( I think RC1 is now availible to non OD users) or hacking the OS. Here's a link to the whitepaper concerning the new skin api in XP.

Obviously someone already hacked the os to find a way to authenticate them.

Seems so. But won't it have other consequences besides just hacking into the os (wich is not very good). And toothpaste?!?!

Well like the document says the reason why the uxtheme.dll skin file looks for digitall signed files is because Microsoft assumes (probably correctly) that most homegown skins will be huge memory drains and it doesn't want ppl thinking that XP is a memory eater (even though it is )
