That's because it doesn't have a 64bit driver. Walmart sells an adapter that has 64bit drivers. Other than that look around (google) for a newer converter that specifically mentions 64bit driver support.

I run Win7 x64, and I'm using one I bought at RadioShack about 3 years ago for $11, identifies itself as "GreenAsia" or some crap, but it works well, since it appears as a universal gamepad device. Only drawback is there is no rumble support on x64, or anything above XP really.

I haven't checked for drivers for it because I only use the gamepad and don't care too much for rumble support, but with the original drivers on XP, I know it supported random peripherals too, such as a steering wheel, Guitar, DDR Mats, ect.

My old adapter is from RadioShack as well. I've looked around, but there doesn't seem to be any 64bit drivers for it.
