well that is needed because i want to do multiple stuffs while i'm playing ps games like answer ICQ messages or while waiting my CD to burn or while donwloading something ...
if its on full screen there might be a slight 10% problem when i switch back to window mode ALT+TAB and the whole Game GONE (hangs when i switch it back ALT+TAB) some games happend and u wouldnt expect

therefore ... its good to play windowed mode like bleem did.. i really hope lewpy or pete will work on this ..

so .. in is needed because of that :)
no pressure :D

xAix, I think you didn't get what Pete said. Let me try to say it plain and simple...

When you use a 3D API, windowed mode is not an option in the application, rather it is an option in that API.

Glide does not have that option.
Direct3D does.

bleem! uses Direct3D, so you have that option.
Pete's D3D plugin also has that option.
Lewpy's Glide does not.

Now, is it clearer?

BTW, I use Pete's D3D in windowed mode when I need to play with the configs, so if the emu crashes it's less likely to blank me out from Windows :emb:

xAix, why would you need to wait for Lewpy to make a D3D plugin. What's wrong with pete's? Let me just go ahead and say that Pete's D3D is compatible with Glide/D3D cards because it seems like you are unaware of that.

Well, with the demise of 3dfx and any associated developer support, I have no intention of attempting to add window support to my Glide plugin.
Although this is theoretically possible on the newer 3dfx cards, the procedure is not documented at all by 3dfx, and there is no example source code to look at to understand the mechanism either.
So, my plugin is full-screen all the way. End of story :)
If you want to pause emulation and do something else, just press ESC.
If you want to task-switch, and leave emulation running, my plugin should respond in a friendly way to ALT-TAB, although the emulated game will carry on running in the background.
