well only if you transfer it from your on cartridge, its considered "legal"....
aniway, theres hardly any chance you can get caught unless you go to your local police departement and tell them you have illegal roms.... and still there....im not sure if they would really care

aniway, we dont promote the use of piracy here. you might want to check out the [rules]rules[/rules] page before saying anything you might regret.

short answer: no

long answer: yes, but only if you go around everywhere, say that you pirate games, and then freely (and publicly) distribute those roms to other people. Nintendo, Sony, and M$oft know that they could end piracy, but if they went to the extremes needed most gamers would stop buying games in the first place. So they just try to shut down major sources of roms or pirated games (easily accessible websites that host illegal material).

The way they can find out is while you're downloading the rom, they won't check your computer, but they might log download traffic, and store your IP. After they've got the IP they might have the right to check your computer if you downloaded illegal content depending on what country you live in. In the U.S. I know there was a guy who got caught while downloading Larry 8, for the xbox or some such for example.

This is pretty much asking for roms. Sorry, but you won't find them here. So do us a favor and quit asking.:p

Short answer? DONT in the first place. Purchase the hardware required to dump your own n64 roms and keep it to yourself. Thats the simple answer.

im not asking for it . i just wanna know will you ever get cuaght and i dont have any roms on my compter
first of all, the FBI does scans of your hard drive through various means like spyware and even through P2P (think it's just scanning for files to share...?). when they discover some illegal content they'll monitor your online activity and when it happens again, they'll send a team to your house to investigate you and there's nothing you can really do about it, because they will cite the Digital Protection Copywrite Information Act of 1998 and you're screwed.

then when they find that out, and they'll take you to court which you are not likely to be successful in unless you have a high powered lawyer in which case you may have a chance but that's really expensive.

so you go to jail where you'll have to face harsh initiation and probably get sodomized a few times a day. if you're lucky they'll just knock out all your teeth and force you to give oral intercourse 8 to 10 times a day. if you're unlucky, well, i dont want to even go there.

anyway, unless you like being raped by men or being in court, don't download roms.

and for god's sake why was this thread even open for longer than one post. this is moronic, idiot, and im proud to say i made it even more so.
