Wild 9 configuration with ingame music?

hi i tried out the latest version of epsxe with Wild 9. I generated the config described below and everything works like a dream except the ingame music cannot be heard. I guess i put some settings wrong.

GPU: Pete's D3D driver 1.50
Null2's Audio Driver 1.4
Internal ePSXe W2k CDR.

While the SPU is interesting here are the settings in detail:
Attributes: 22050, 16Bit
buffer length: 20
block 3
enable VAG stream
linear interpolation
enable tone-cache

Any suggestions?

First try to enabled CDDA reading and XA reading in the soundoptions.

After loading a saved game you will be not able to hear the audio because the emulator seems to not save the audioposition.
If the game playes the next track you will hear it again.
strange thing is i never hear it at all. what audio plugin do you use?
I use the Internal ePSXe 1.4.0 Audio and CD-ROM Plugins.
I use the emulator under Win2K Pro.
