I love the ending song very much.

Besides, i still cant forget about what the woman's say :

"The important thing is , you choose your life, and then, LIVE IT ! "

God...................... !

This game changed my life...........i live better and feel better since then!

i've said it lots of times, FF8's ending made me wanna cry..

(PS: i can also name anime's that leave you with a hollow, bitter, wretched, heartached fealing, quite.. depressing actually).

I can name plenty of great anime endings. Not too many game endings...

the SovKhan wasnt bad - it was getting there
great game playerz - saw it first on dreamcast - lucked out n got it for 5bucks at a used vidio game store...
the end of DUES EX was, hmm, you can finish 3 wayz i think but ive only done one
has anyone beat X-COM/ufo defence?(1st one that is)

yeah, i guess its one of the things japanese anime authors strive for.. trying to invoke such feelings on the person watching.. i remember one, samurai x: OVA, imo, its an awesome anime, much better than the series .. and they had to end it that way..(heart wrenchingly awesome) what a sorry and miserable life kenshin had.. killing pretty much everybody, including his girl... i felt depressed and miserable when i watched that.. X the movie, another anime.. like.. imagine getting your mom, your girl, and all of your friends killed, then being forced to kill your own damn best friend.. geesuz.. and so the list goes on...

I HIGHLY agree on all points. That ending was spectacular, much like the OVA. I'll be showing Samurai X to just about all of my medieval Japan history classes.

Anyway, some of my favorite game endings are actually pretty short. I love Planescape Torment's ending. Much like the game itself, I was absolutely amazed by it. I also like either of Shadow's endings in FF VI. I also like Lunar: The Silver Star's (Sega CD) ending. FF VIII's is really the only long ending I like a lot.

Really, its very bloody tho.. but not much gore.. i guess it depicts the kind of situation people were facing during those times, being butchered like animals by thieves or being forced unto slavery and sometimes prostitution.. savage reality i guess. Fighting each other in order to achieve the same cause, different methods for one purpose.. its sad those things had to happen... ideology, what a cruel thing...

That's why I left FF9 out. It was just too darn predictable (much like FF9 ). I did like the Melodies of Life song, though. Much better than that overpriced Eyes on Me.

The most beautiful game ending was the end of Final Fantasy VIII.
That end is realyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy coolllll. And the song just perfect!!!!! Man i realy love FF!!
