I was inspired by DukeNukem to make another thread about dating, thanx Duke :D I didn't know that enough people on this forum was infact dating to make such a thread pointfull   okay, that was mean... sorry.. anyway I can't choose just one location but these are a tied first place.

On top of the Eiffel tower ( Paris is romantic! )
A boat ride on the river Seine at night ( Paris is romantic! )
An expensive French resturant ( That was acctually in Tokyo :) )
A fireworks festival ( Yokohama, they have great ramen too !! )
The Beautiful Gardens and temples in Kyoto ( Even if a monk was mad at me )

There are probably some more to rank as tied first place but those were the ones I remmembered on top of my head.

I'm not a romantic guy... I hate that kinda ****. I'm not saying I'm all macho and uncaring, I just hate over the top romantic stuff. Chill things like taking walks in beautiful places, and dinner at a nice place are cool, but that's as romantic as I get. Certain "romantic" things like boat rides and horse rides and etc. are cool too, I'm just too poor to afford that kind of thing. No candle lighting and poetry reading or **** like that. I usually ruin romantic stuff just cause I always act the same way... always kind of laid back and lackadaisical with a jokish demeanor.

In My Bed
That's a great place for a date to end but.. I think you slightly misunderstood the topic :D

Edit: well, I guess with some candles, something nice to drink, and a lot of roses, it could be quite romantic too :) It'd sound a little funny if someone asked though, Where did you date? hmm, at my bed :D

I'm almost the same as Rhombus. My personality and attitude kinda screw up the romantic part of anything. But I do know where some nice places are though. Places where you can sit and talk, picnic, make-out or whatever.

The first place is the airport. I know what you're thinking and you're wrong. I never said inside. Most big airports have areas around the landing strips (which is fenced off), and even fewer have benches and tables setup for whenever the maintenance people go to lunch. That's where I usually go. It's actually very peaceful, not too many people know about that kind of spot. It's really cool to see all the lights along the runway. You definately don't get the same effect during the day so it has to be at night.

The other is along the intercoastal. The east side to be exact, as you can look across the intercoastal and see downtown. It's another one of those places that's much better at night. Unfortunately, many people know of the spot so it's usually crowded.

There's other places, like the beach, but I've had weirdos walk up on us a few times so that's kinda a last resort. It's not that I'm cheap or anything, it's just I like things quiet where you won't get interrupted. Not to mention it's very memorable.

romantic date eh... haven't been into one recently... but looking back, I think one that I could say is at the beach, lying on the sand and doing some stargazing while it was a full moon...

Hmm, same for me. I really enjoyed one moment at a small lake just chilling in the night watching at the lights on the other side... too bad there was still alot of problems to talk about :???:

Other than that I'm not the romantic kind of person at all. My way of approaching things will break any kind of romantic moment into something 'normal'. But just lying in bed with a girl enjoying a movie can be pretty nice, and then there doesn't even really have to happen something afterwards :) Add some nice drinks, and it will be perfect. But no, no wine, I can't stand that stuff, unless it's 20 bucks a bottle :p I don't care that much about style of whatever, as long as you have fun that night ;)

Another nice thing what really surprised me was when a good friend of mine proposed to go to a nice Greek restaurant. oO Never expected to hear that from her cause normally we make plans to order some Greek or Turkish food at home so we have more time for gaming :heh:
But IF we might go (she only proposed it a couple of days ago) I don't think it will be very romantic as both can't stand cheesy stuff, and prefer to stay our regular dry sarcastic selves :innocent:
