help ok i know before u save hit f4, now is this like right before u do or a one time thing to format ur card or once per game or once per block. when do i do it, and is it once per block help

Use it only when you have problems.
But you would do it right before you hit save or load in the game. In my experience you have to do it once, (if at all), when you first create the save on the memory card. Then each time you need to load, do it then too. All games are different though. I've only found 2 games that needed it at all. Although i've only tested 10 to any degree.

problem solved just if u dont press f4 and play way into the game and it says u saved it lies when u restart and load no saved data is shown. also just for future ref what happens if u do do a save and goto load it and it says no saved data even though there is. isnt that an error? anyway thanks for ur time and ill just read ur replies

I always press f4 twice right after the game has loaded..... After the sony screen....... or during the sony screen...... After which I just play the game like normal..... I never get any major memcards or controller problems......
