What's up with the load times?

Why are the loading times in ePSXe so slow? I play all my games from ISOs and still, the load times are EXACTLY the same as they are on the console itself. What's worse is that memory card operations still take a while to save/load as well. How much does one block hold, like 10.6k? There's no reason it should be taking 5-7 seconds to save/load.

It's probably because Epsxe is trying to emulate the psx as close as possible.. Hence, since a real psx saves and loads slow.. Or it could be that the loading scene just takes long because of the real psx uses a long load/save screen.. Maybe disabling FPS limit at the load and save screen will speed it up.. I noticed this in Saving/loading games from MGS and Vagrant story.. It's not because the file size, its because the load scene is long..
Don't like memcard save/load times? Try using saved states then. You can also use 5'8's recommendation of toggling the frame limiter. Else, you can just sit back, relax, and make yourself a cup of coffee since it takes suuuch a long time to load/save. Pfffsh, never satisfied they are.
Yet another useless response from Gerbil. Don't you have anything else better to do than roam the forums, looking for topics to spam? I don't think NGemu needs a hall monitor, piss off.

Fiveeight, thanks for the tip.
I also added the suggestion of using saved states if you possibly noticed. If you don't want to use them as a faster means of saving and loading, ok fine. And I have been here helping people for quite awhile thank you very much. And I have a very low idiocy tolerance, and you seem to have tripped that up. Search function is in plain sight too mind you. Don't like my responses? Ignore them. If I don't like your responses, I can ignore them or respond in like. I know I'm loved here, have a nice day, toodooloo!
Yeah gerbil, I luv u  :D j/k

No need for either of you to be pissed off here. And remember the rules ;)
?? peace on earth
