Did you turn your onboard audio off in your bios?I don't have a realteck sound card, its asus.
Norton is the most horrific piece of garbage I've ever had the displeasure of supporting. I sincerely hope someday people file a class action lawsuit against symantec for that filth. It's worse than actually getting a virus in many cases. Use it long enough and someday it will bite you too, mark my words.norton is a good AV, and I am going to get norton2009 next month.
She has 2 sound cards running, I'd put money on it. Her xonar and her onboard. No real harm in it, but I would have turned off the onboard in the bios personally.Have you ever had a speaker icon that looks like this:
Not the Xonar though I imagine? The Xonar starts at $100 for the cheap one, and it is very superior to the Creative cards.I have an Asus card as well, a decent 7.1 that came with my mobo, but I chose to use Creative.
