What Is A Mdec?!?!

'nuff said:
I always hear about people using MDECs but i have no clue what they are. I've been using ePSXe, and its been working, but sohould i know what these are?!?

As far as I was aware Mdec is shortened form of MJPEG Codec, which is a shortened form of Motion Joint Pictures Expert Group Compression Decompression algorthim. As disturbed put it they are the movie clips. :p

I heard somewhere it was from MotionDECoder... maybe i've been hallusinating.
