Ugh...The wait queue in WinDx is unbearable.

How's the wait time for Morpheus?

not only that but once you're downloading it's 2kb/sec and you dont have to try files over 10mb unless you want to spend at least a week to get it (disconnection fun).

I did download a Divx file using WinDx with a reasonable speed of 15k/sec.

Though I am trying to download another Divx file and I have in a queue for over five hours now.

Disappointed in Morpheus!

I finally download Morpheus and see if it really as good as everybody says it is.

Given the high expectations, I have to say that I am very disappointed in Morpheus.

Morpheus has no problems with popular names like Matrix or Harry Potter, but if you are looking for more niche areas like anime Divx Morpheus sucks big time.

-I typed in Akira, I got porn movies.

-I typed in Saber Marionette, I got two hits.

-I typed in Gate Keepers, I got five hits.

I got double the search hits with WinDX.

When I tried to download a file I with Morpheus got placed in queue.

When the file finally started downloading the speed was 0.02k/sec!

I can't believe that this is the great Morpheus everybody is talking about. :sad:

For anime, use Direct Connect. You'll need some stuff to share, thought.

1) Click on connect, then public. A hub list will show up, find one of your liking and connect.

2) Search for the file you want to, them DL.

Notice most hubs require a minimum amount of shared files before they allow you in.

I know that on WinMX if the person doesn't want anything you have they will disconnect you which really sucks. Music is easy though because song's are much smaller than software.

Direct Connect is good but sometimes the person you are tring to download from has no slots available and you have to wait until they have a slot available to be able to download.

To this date I have not found a file sharing program that meet my expectations.

Morpheus: Good if you are looking for mainstream titles.
It doesn't fair very well with niche titles.

WinDx: High search hits. The wait queue is long and the transfer speed is medicore.

Direct connect: You have to share your files in order for it to work. (600 MB to share I believe)

Kanzaa: Spyware.

Hotline: A lot of users won't share their files. Medicore transfer rates.

Is it that hard to come up with the ultimare file sharing program?
