What is a good File Sharing Program that does NOT contain spyware, viruses, torjan horses or any weird stuff?

I believe Morpheus is a modified version of Kazaa. It's been redesigned to share all types of files.

KaZaA is spyware.

Morpheus is a modified KaZaA, with one modification being the removal of spyware components.

Morpheus 2.0 (M2) is supposed to hit soon, maybe it'll be good..

Kaaza is total spyware. Use Morpheus instead.

Uh. I use WinMX and it rocks. I have tried Morpheus, Bearshare, Kazaa and I didn't like em. I have gotten all my music with this program along with some X rated material....

I tired WinMX, the performance is slow.

Searching for a file seems to take forever.

Each time I run the same search the search results are inconsistence.

Even when I found the file I what I end up connecting to a busy line.

I have seen the good reviews of WinMX, I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.

It depends entirely on the speed of their modem and your modem. There's no central server involved to slow things down. However, since usually there are multiple sources for the file and Morpheus can use all of them, the speed of the download is almost always limited only by the speed of your modem. So in general, yes, it's quite fast.

I use Morpheus, and so far it's the best filesharing prog I've used. iMesh is always slow and the UI is clunky to boot, Napster couldn't resume and didn't support multiple sources, Audiogalaxy had a sucky UI, and KaZaA is spyware.

This is really weird.

I have used WinMx more than four times already and the connection has been p*ss poor.

Now when I was thinking about downloading Morpheus, WinMx works well!

I'm more used to WinMX, although, as CD said, worst UI ever, indeed. Morpheus is a good choice as well.
