cable (at home that is)
cable here too.
but my company sucks... limited to 6Gb/months of download and the upload speed is limited to 16kbps :-(
that sucks
56k with an average connect rate of 52,000 bps.

I've found that saying "56k" isn't always helpful, seeing as how quite a few people I know connect with a capable modem yet only get 33.6 speeds. Of course, that's not to begrude the people that've already posted..or something
56k sucks but it's what i use!!
connection speed of 44000bps the way!!

there is no cable here yet!!
ISDN 128K at work, but alas, only 56K at home (connected at 45.2K at best, I did get 4K connection speed once :( )

Dont worry, LoRd_ByRon, I am also waiting for cable ;(
G
ADSL here, 1.544Mbit down, 128kbit up
56k 46,666bps when i'm at home.:(
i use a hsp56 micromodem (internal) from PCtel inc.
56k ... even though my father works for the phone company:(

... and it appears that I have joined the elite club of experts:cool:

that sucks
also limited upload speed here (15kbps)...no download limit ...used to be that way though (2GB )
had cable for a few years now
and what a deal it is

used to be 500k way back when. they kept upping it, now 5m (theoretically) both up and down. in practice i've gotten over 3m up and down, that's when there's a capable server, or transfering with another cable user.
connecting with a 56k
connected at 53.2k the highest allowed with a modem(you ever ready the small text?)
G
the FCC regulates data transfered through normal phonelines...

But I believe it's 54k, not 53.2
I believe highest speed which 56 K moderm can do is..............
53.3 Kbps I never connect higher speed than 53.3 Kbps
hahahahaha.....
i'm at home right now...
using a 56k modem and connecting at 115.2k(through compression)

p/s:i think the max connection you can get with a 56k modem is 52k ,but maybe i'm wrong coz i bought my 56k modem for quite some time now.
