Hey guys, I wish to build my own PC in a few months and the most i'm willing to spend on a computer is $1,500 (including monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and DVD+/-RW). What kind of computer will I be able to build with that amount of money?? please vote!

if you want good advicd on what to buy head over to extremeoverclocking.com,they are very nice and helpful too:).They will gladly help you make a amd or pentium system.

thanks alot. i don't really like the look of the monitor and case, but i like the black+silver designs. A black and silver computer will look really kool.
You can save quite a bit of money by going with a good onboard sound card and ditching the sound blaster. My ASUS-A8N -e has absolutley subrub 8 channel surround sound AND a optical out to hook to my so-so kenwood system and it sounds GREAT.

i put the mobo on the list cuz its the best pcie 939 mobo since the Sli-d and so fore i from dfi are the same mobo with extras.

i put the audigy2zs on the list for a reason, that onboard sound onthe mobo aint that great. i should know i used that same onboard the RealTek alc850 on other motherboards.

it will take off ease off the cpu if you use a pci soundcard instead of a onboard. you would regain like 1-4 fps back.

so i recommand he stick to the list.
