Im using ePSXe 1.7, playing Silent Hill NTSC. Here are my settings and what the game looks like.

P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.16

Resolution/Color:
- 1024x768 Window mode
Stretch mode: 2
Dither mode: 1

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 60

Misc:
- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: on [00000000]

I tried pSX and the problem wasnt there.

Have you tried pressing F7? That (I believe) flips the graphics plug-in, and often changes the appearance. That often clears up any probs I'm having.

As you can see, I'm no expert... But give it a try. I run Silent Hill no problem, so it does run on ePSXe.

Yeah it changes the plug-in to Hardware, which i dont want as it makes the game lose its atmosphere.

Erm.. why are you using a plugin that is mainly for sucky systems or 2d games? Considering you're system can more then handle OpenGL2 I suggest you use that.
It gets rid of the dithering, which IMHO kills the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, i dont have a choice as ive only got my laptop right now with Intel IGP = (

Also, the pSX emulator has trouble going full screen on my 1280x800 screen, it keeps flickering, while i cant do anything.
