That happened to my 6600GT and I a while back while playing garrys mod in Half-Life 2 for a good amount of time. I had my card overclocked then, also my old motherboard was starting to die. I lowered the clock speed and I didn't see it again. Damn, I wish the temp sensors on my 6600GT were enabled by default.

just alittle it really should not go over 60c with most cards. Sounds like you need better case venting, mybe some more case fans, or you just have it somewhare thats to hot. but if you dont do something the card will die although it looks like its about too. good luck
