I just came back from Bioware where I played Dragon Age for an hour and a half. :D

I was part of a focus group and when I was done I answered all sorts of questions about what I liked and what I didn't. So if you don't like the game, it's a tiny part my fault, and if you like it it's in a tiny part because of me. ;)

I can't tell you anything about that game as I had to sign an NDA. :(. I can say that it is very awesome, though, and I count the days until it's released.

Bioware's offices are very pimp. Big kitchen area, game art all over the walls, meeting rooms named after games "Baldur's Gate Meeting Room". Very high security obviously. Very neat experience.

The cool thing is now I'm on the tester list, they'll probably call me back to test Mass Effect 2 :D

A few screens

wish you had a little audio recording mp3 device stashed in your sock so you could have recorded all the occurings.
We brought in a camera but they wouldn't let us take pics obviously. Was worth a shot ;)

They actually taped me playing the game the whole time. They're going to study the tape later to see what I spent time on, what I didn't, how I played, etc. :)

hope it has a better engine than NWN2. that was the most awkwardly played out engine ive ever used. The Characters where not lifelike at all and movement and combat were extremely quirky. i hated it. Bioware should do a better job though, i think obsidian did nwn2
At the risk of disclosing too much, it's very much like NWN. I think Bioware themselves have said this though. The control scheme is a night and day difference, though. They really fixed it.

Spyhop, I don't hate or envy you, but I'm happy you got to enjoy such a wonderful experience and I believe it sounds like something that most any gamer would enjoy. Please let us know if you get to test out Mass Effect 2, I still need to play through the first one, but I think I'll really enjoy it, and if I do, I'll buy the sequel, just like I enjoy Bioshock and look forward to that sequel...

Congratulations again...
yeah......I'm gonna have to ask you to be more jealous please. I need a jealous factor of at least 5

so spyhop are you going to go back and test DA again?
Nope. One-time deal.

hey maybe just maybe this could be the beginning of building up a relationship with Bioware, you know sometime you might be able to land a job there. We all know it was rated as one of the top places to work in alberta or canada .
Would be nice, but soooo many people who have minor dealings with Bioware try to be their friend and get a job. I think they're pretty tired of it. ;)

Drakensang sucked? I am loving the game...then again I hated NWN...

As for Dragon Age...looks like your typical dark and gloomy WRPG....something Drakensang is not...which is probably why you hated it...
I hated Drakensang because it was boring and had no character. It was sterile, devoid of real emotion, and the story telling blew.
