I just came back from Bioware where I played Dragon Age for an hour and a half. :D

I was part of a focus group and when I was done I answered all sorts of questions about what I liked and what I didn't. So if you don't like the game, it's a tiny part my fault, and if you like it it's in a tiny part because of me. ;)

I can't tell you anything about that game as I had to sign an NDA. :(. I can say that it is very awesome, though, and I count the days until it's released.

Bioware's offices are very pimp. Big kitchen area, game art all over the walls, meeting rooms named after games "Baldur's Gate Meeting Room". Very high security obviously. Very neat experience.

The cool thing is now I'm on the tester list, they'll probably call me back to test Mass Effect 2 :D

We brought in a camera but they wouldn't let us take pics obviously. Was worth a shot ;)

They actually taped me playing the game the whole time. They're going to study the tape later to see what I spent time on, what I didn't, how I played, etc. :)

A friend of mine back in highschool's dad worked for a videogame company in edmonton... i wonder if it was bioware...

wonder if a Mr. Ross works for bioware...
Doesnt look that special
What Bioware game has ever been not special?
I hate you. Not much more to say, just, I hate you.

Well, official websites are rarely the best source of informations on a game. Better find a a fansite that has existed for like 4 years and who kept analyzing every forum posts or interviews made by developers for any information of the game. Those sites will usually show you the cool things to look forward from the games (moreso than the small "previews" or "Hey! Look at our cool features!" for official websites).

Indeed! 007 style!
Uhh, i think that one was in his watch.....or was that a laser...? hmm im to tired to remember
Nah, his watch had a super-duper ultra powerful magnet that could stop a bullet dead in its track.
hope it has a better engine than NWN2. that was the most awkwardly played out engine ive ever used. The Characters where not lifelike at all and movement and combat were extremely quirky. i hated it. Bioware should do a better job though, i think obsidian did nwn2
Dammit, now I feel like playing this kind of game again (right now) but I don't know what to go for.
At least Mysteries of Westgate is finally coming. (and then it'll be horrible, obviously, but whatever)
Looks a lot like NWN2...

But damn, bioware has Mass Effect 2 incoming and now this!:D Or should I say this and then Mass Effect 2?oO
Not my flavor of game to be honest. I've never gotten into the adventure role playing games. Course I'll be trying the demo though :p
You have an hour to send me some more details in a PM

Damn I'm jealous, I'm happy for you though man, must've been a great experience. These guys are among the best developers in the world if I look at their old games, together with Mr Yu Suzuki.
I just hope modding doesn't fail like in NWN2, and it has success similar to NWN1 (for perpetual worlds and serious servers).

At the risk of disclosing too much, it's very much like NWN. I think Bioware themselves have said this though. The control scheme is a night and day difference, though. They really fixed it.
what is the name of the game?
