Wanted to donate...

3456 Views 25 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  SCHUMI_4EVER
I recently downloaded the No$gba emulator, and I honestly don't know if I've got the version freebies are supposed to have, but since I'm a college kid who has some extra cash, I was going to donate a little bit to the effort - but the link on the website doesn't seem to work.

Help?

Donations don't work now. You can only use 2.6 version not 2.6a
As was said donations have been down for a while. No one knows why and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
Lol someone who actually wants to donate thats a rarity!

Sorry but yeah donations have been down. maybe theres someway in getting in touch with the creator.

No, this has been asked about many times here now. It's nothing new.
I have a feeling that if Martin released a new version, even if it was just a few minor fixes, he would get quite a lot of money from donations.
I have a feeling that this project was abandoned, willingly or unwillingly...
What do you guys think about sending a small package to him? Think it will be unable to be delivered?
Try sending it yourself, and see.
I suggest you don't send any money with the first letter, though.

Yeah. After I posted, I was thinking maybe send a letter first, and if that goes ok, send a package with some money.
That's a good idea!

So at least we know that if the letter returns, Martin is in his home.
Otherwise... I don't think he may have been jailed. Developing emulators is legal as long as they don't include copyrighted stuff like BIOS images, so I don't think there's a problem with NO$GBA (besides, if there was a problem with it, Martin's webpage would be down). Maybe, as I told earlier, he's gone to China to buy a DSi and emulate it.

This is not the first time time passed before updates to one of martin's emus (people got used to a feaster release cycle, after DS emulation was added).

Disturbing realworld "stalking" ?
I'll let you all know what happens with the letter. Worst case, it's just $.94 in stamps wasted.

No. We just need to ensure Martin's alright. He should at least give us some news! Seriously, I can't stand that myster anymore, and I'm sure other people can't too.

Its unlikely a random emulator user would really get a reply, if emails from such are not welcomed either (no offense).

Sure!
At least, we'll know more about Martin's current situation.

He's probably stopped checking his e-mail box, but not his regular mailbox. Quite obvious.
I suggest that the "random emulator user" asks him to give some news about himself, so we can stop worrying about him and/or about NO$GBA.
I couldn't email him. I got an error when trying to do so. If it gets returned, we will know for sure.

yeah i wanted to donate... even though its easy access to 2.6a. But to be honest I had hoped my donating would speed up production.

I donated maybe a month before the donations went down :(..
My letter is going out tomorrow. He should have it within two weeks at the most. More likely, within one week.
... e-stalking?
Nothing indicates he is either deceased or serving for life somewhere, so the point in that would be close to none.
If M.Korth doesnt want to be contacted, then its as explicit as can be. Email adress wasnt really scrambled in the past for no reason (emails from non-devs and non-dev matters were always hardly welcomed).
