Well i had those signs of that fuzzy ness when my old monitor was dying and it eventually went out a few weeks later,may also be because of video card since i had those green dots which i suspected was from the card and i was right,if your comp has integrated gfx take out the agp or pci card and then see if that will happen again.

actually that would be a monitor problem,it is probably on it's way out but be on the lookout if it makes a tiny click sound cause then you will know the monitor is about to die.
