Video card

I just bought a new computer (800mhz for $380, nice, eh?) and it has a 5MB intel video card. I'm pretty satisfied with the results though. I have a 32MB Voodoo 4 4500 in my old computer. It seems obvious that I should switch but I'm not sure. The Intel card is AGP and the Voodoo 4 is PCI. Also the Voodoo 4 has some problems like crappy VGS and plays movies bad in one of my games (Aliens vs. Predator, PC) Any other sugestions?

Definetly switch. That intel vid card is POS =D
Everything video related made by Intel is crap, throw it away and use the Voodoo4 instead. It doesn't matter if a Voodoo video board is PCI or AGP because various benchmarks showed only a few % difference int the benchmarks comparing the AGP and PCI versions ( It looks like 3Dfx never fully exploited all the AGP bus options ).
Of course you are using LewY,s Glide driver with the Voodoo4 dont'you?

It may say that its AGP but its not... Its integrated into the mobo, and you'll never be able to remove it.... its crap, and can only adress up to 11 MB vidmem, and the V4 outperforms it amazingly.... Ditch the intel!!!!

Yep but at 380 bucks I'm not surprised that corners were cut (probably to the point that it is a circle).
Yeah, but that circle sure is cheap and performs good without that low price vid card. Disabling the onboard video and using the V4 would really be a good idea. Anyway, does someone knows a good mobo for P3 that doesn't use a buggy Via chipset?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the buggy via chipsets are for use with amd cpus. Thusly your p3 will very likely end up running on an intel chipset. www.abit-usa.com take a look at their boards, they're what I would recommend. Running a bx133-raid here, only 2x agp with no fast writes which kind of annoys me, but a good solid board other than that.
Mine is a Asus P3V133, with the Via Apolo133 chipset. It's was meant to run P3, not amds (wich run on other series), I found out that my board has a bug on the south bridge, and I think mine's has a bug on it (all of it :D), I live in Brazil (in the political center, federal district, whatever) and i can't buy much of anything online, but i'm thinking seriously of buying a new mobo, so thanks for the answer gerbilcannon, but i'm thinking on a mobo that can accept a Geforce 3 on a near future. I heard that the Soyo SY-7IS2 is good, that's true?
Fou-lu, where do you live(which state)? If you live in SP, I would advise you to look at a store called "Centrin". It has a bunch of new stuff.I can tell you their phone number if you want to.
Well... "federal district"... I think he lives in Brasilia ;)

And I live in Rio de Janeiro (the most beautiful city of Brazil)
Nah, i don't live in SP (sou goiano do quadradinho (DF) :)), but if you could give me some info i would be glad.
Haha, não me diga que é bonito ainda ver arrastão e gente sequestrada quase todo dia!
Cada um de um lugar do brasil. Sou de sp. A pior cidade do país
