TL;DR: after a reddit user contacted me about difficulties in emulating the game in question, I decided to test it and I had practically no problem.

short test: I played¹ the first round only²³;
Code:
¹ both games:
    Vib-Ribbon (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It) [hash checked: http://redump.org/disc/17774/]
    Vib-Ribbon (Japan) [hash checked: http://redump.org/disc/3474/]
    hash checked using Nirsoft HashMyFiles https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/hash_my_files.html (freeware)
² menus: english, game, play w/ the vib-ribbon disc, bronze (easy);
³ the relative same menus in japanese;
[results]
Code:
RetroArch Beetle PSX....: ok!, good audio;
BizHawk + Beetle PSX....: ok!, good audio;
Mednafen................: ok!, good audio;
