Got no advertise ments for warez sites. I think gnome man said it was the same as some other patch made by someone, they just made it look a bit different.
I don't see how that patch would lead to piracy. VGS works with backups whether it's patched or not, but sometimes it spits out discs it doesn't like, more often than not backup discs. I've tried using VGS with and without the Morlac patch, and the only thing i've noticed is that sometimes the unpatched .exe doesn't read some backups, and sometimes even my original japanese import games!
So basically what that patch does is to force VGS to read whatever disc's in there regardless of whether it's a backup or the original.
My HP computer at work using a Samsung 42x Cd-rom drive with windows 98, was always able to run Cd-r backups of games using VGS without the patch. Never did figgure out why it could do that.
i think cdrom is the key when i use my old cdrom actima 50x it doesnt allow me to play backup games but w/ my asus 50x it plays any thing even w/o the patch kinda confusing
using a modchip patch also a great work around so you will not get some games bieng ejected by vgs(just to be sure all games will work but not the heavily scrath disc )
yup i also experienced that thats the reason why i use modpatch
