I was kinda bored. And when I'm bored I go out of mind and make some strange stuff :p
What about a stupid VG quizes series?
The idea popped out in my head and so before I lose my "out of mind" condition, I decided to write it fast ;) . I'd like to thank Killjoy very much for helping me with the questions ^_^

So let's start already with : NES ^^

1) What was the game that starts in a bathroom?
2) How many colors at once a NES can display?
3) Name 3 series which had only 3 titles on NES.
4) Name 2 fighting games for NES.
5) Name 5 characters whose names start with "L" and starred in 5 different NES games.
6) What was the last game for NES? Last In Japan and Last in US.
7) What's the most famous code used in NES gaming era and became a mascot for it's company after?
8) Name a game where you can switch your weapon anytime you want.
9) Name 3 games where player1 and player2 wore blue and red costumes respectively.
10) What was the largest data size to be stored on NES carts?

Start posting your answers and Killjoy and I will tell you if you were correct ;)

If you liked that I'll be making other consoles quizes :)

Ok the colour question is a trick question.

Technicaly its only 25 colours, 13 baground and 12 sprite colours. But if you use "PPU trickery" you can actually display all of NES' 64 pallette values at once, which would come out to 512 colours on-screen at once.:p

Dragonquest 4 / Dragon Warrior 4 had 1 megabyte program ROM and Metal Slader Glory had 512K of PRG and 512K of CHR ROM, also making 1 meg. So the biggest game is 1 megabyte.

The only I can answer maybe is:

7) What's the most famous code used in NES gaming era and became a mascot for it's company after?

I think that's the code in contra to have more lifes. Which konami uses in a lot of their games.

4) Name 2 fighting games for NES.
hmm... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters and Urban Champion. Oddly enough tehy are the 2 only true fighting games for the NES so you may as well ask "Name all the fighting games for NES :p"

6) What was the last game for NES? Last In Japan and Last in US.
The last in the US was Wario's Woods I think... dunno about Japan. I want half a point :p

7) What's the most famous code used in NES gaming era and became a mascot for it's company after?
Hmm... Konami/Ultra's up up down down left right left right BA?

8) Name a game where you can switch your weapon anytime you want.
Hmm... I don't exactly get what you mean... do you mean switching without having to press start and selecting a different weapon? If so how about the Micropose's Flight Simulator "F15 Strike Eagle."

We hit up the spoiler tags....as a console historian we really shouldn't be playing ;)

1) What was the game that starts in a bathroom? Deja Vu (already answered)
2) How many colors at once a NES can display? The palette contains 48 colors and 5 grays; you can normally display 25 of these on the same screen. However, mid-frame palette swapping can simulate more.
3) Name 3 series which had only 3 titles on NES. Double Dragon (Part 4 is a hack), Ninja Gaiden, Final Fantasy, andwhat the hell...Castlevania
4) Name 2 fighting games for NES. Karate Champ & Yie Ar Kung Fu
5) Name 5 characters whose names start with "L" and starred in 5 different NES games. (now this is a challenge..start us off with Luigi)
6) What was the last game for NES? Last In Japan and Last in US.
Officially Wario Woods in the US and Adventure Island IV in Japan (Unofficially it was Sunday Funday
7) What's the most famous code used in NES gaming era and became a mascot for it's company after? (Konami code up,up,down, down,L,R,L,R,B,A Selct Start)
8) Name a game where you can switch your weapon anytime you want. Mega Man
9) Name 3 games where player1 and player2 wore blue and red costumes respectively. Contra, Contra Force, and Double Dragon
10) What was the largest data size to be stored on NES carts?
Kind of a trick question. OFFICIALLY the largest kart was Kirby at 768 (Dragon Warrior 4 was only 513K), but Unofficially there have been chip enhancements that made carts like 110 in 1 that is 3068K in size.

eh what the Hell..

5:
Luigi (Super Mario Bros) as DW already mentioned
Link (The Legend of Zelda) Silenus gets credit for that one I guess
Leonheart (Final Fantasy II)
Dr. Light (Megaman) shut up, it counts.
Little Nemo (Little Nemo: The Dream Master.) It counts too dammit

Dr. Light can't count because Light would be his last name. Unless he's like Mario Mario (and I don't know if they've ever stated his first name, I stopped caring about the series around #4 or #5) "Little" Nemo doesn't count either: his parents didn't name him Little.

We need some more questions (remember, Google is cheating. You're on your honor):

11) Name three non-sequel games where a second player could join in after the game had started (with or without a code).

12) Which game had the largest playable character in terms of number of pixels in height (I have no idea, but I'm sure somebody does).

13) List ten non-sequel games that featured currency (accumulating something which could be exchanged for goods and/or services).

14) Name one game that isn't Gyromite but utilized R.O.B. Write an optional essay on why Nintendo should have learned from this that novelty accessories are bad ideas, and why you think they neglected to keep this in mind for future systems.

15) List five non-sequel games that featured bombs (dynamite and miscellaneous explosives do not count).

16) List four non-sequel games which included yo-yos as weapons.

17) List five non-sequel games where your character(s) could be poisoned (does not necessarily have to be referred to specifically as "poison" status). Note that games utilizing fuel, such as 1943, do not count.

18) Name the first game to include a cross.

And as a bonus question: Name the kid whom lived on your street and always owned at least twice as many NES games as any other kid. Write an optional explanation in ten words or less what he was doing found tied and beaten up behind the school that one time.

Nowhere did cloudvii mention that it had to be the character's first name OR their real name ;)

ANYway... let me take a stab at the others . . .

13:
The Legend of Zelda
Final Fantasy
Dragonwarrior
Crystalis
Little Red Hood
River City Ransom
Super Mario Bros. 2 / Doki-Doki Panic
...and that's all I got.

16:
Mother
Star Tropics
Rygar (does that count? It's a disc attached to a string, come on :p)
Kirby's Adventure (I haven't played it, I'm just taking a wild guess that the yo-yo enemies are in this one too...)
