Greetings.

After I installed FPSE, I cannot access my plugins in Epsxe! In the pull-down list where they usually are, there are none.

I installed a few plugins again, but they were already there. They just don't show up in the plugin-list inside psxe. The sound list is there aswell as the cd-rom list.

So basically, now I got is a non-working espxe as well as a non-working FPSE, due to all the dlls missing.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Even their emus are fighting each other

It could be a registry problem..
uninstall FPSE & EPSXE, then
Delete their keys, and reinstall these two...

Maybe FPSE moved plugins in diferrent directory?

U mean that u use the same file plugins for both emus?
well, try to have ONE file of each plugin for EACH emu...
Then, it maybe should work...
(but do the previous things I ve told U before.)

It worked after I deleted the whole plugin folder of FPSE.

They sure duked it out


Allthough this might be a hazzle if I want to play with both emulators... But it's just one game I need it for anyway.

Does FPSE run ISO's?

I have heard it can run soulreaver, a game I am unable to use with Epsxe. I don't know why, I have heard that people have been successful in running the game, but not moi..

I have used every plugin known to man, changed the country-thingie, used all the different bios I have.. still nothing. All I get is a black screen. I've hit F4 too but that didn't work.. tried all F buttons.

The only thing that might work is putting the game on a CD, but I do not have a burner.. But I don't see why this doesn't work..


just one more thing.. When I try the game it says (in the black DOS log) : Force NTSC cdrom detected.

Does this give any clue on what is wrong?

My favourite game.

Therefor I am most dissapointed at the lack of emulation of the aformentioned game.

Just a thing to do: go in the cdr plugin pannel and check the "disable cdr status"

The message in the DOS log has changed to:

NTSC cdrom detected.

But still a black screen..

But what can this mean? It's an ISO, not a cd. I hope you have any input on this.

it means that ur game is NTSC. (60fps per second. US or JAP game) the other format is PAL (50 fps per sec. Europeean game)
Don t worry about the cdrom stuff......
Put ur plugin configuration here (err if u use lewpy plugins I can t help U)
Select Autodetect option in
options>country

another thing...which bios are u using?
Try the 1001 or the 7502.

I don't have the 7005 bios.. I only have the 500 and the 1001 and the 1000..

I have tried all the plugins but nothing works.. I usually play with pete's open GL as it works the best (in my opinion). I just push the "nice" button and play my games as that.

I still get a black screen when trying this game.. It's extremly irritating that I cannot play it... Especially because I know it should work as an ISO.
I heard from a guy who used the same file but he burnt it on a cd and played in his playstation, and that worked just fine, but unfortunately I do not own a burner so that is out of the question.

well, nvm heh

actually, isos are better to play on epsxe (better data transfert rate than a cd rom), it just a matter of configuration i think...
Select the epsxe internal spu and cdr plugins.
Then u should gimme ur system specs.
I ll give u an example of configuration.

I have a pentium II 500, 128 ram, NVIDIA GEFORCE MX2 (32) card, most video plugin that have been released, and all other games works but not this one... Pick any video configuration, I probably have them. (allthough the 3dfx plugins hangs my system now that I switched 3d cards.. used to have a voodoo 2 card)

There s a problem w/ ur system.

It shouldn t crash w/ those settings.
(BTW, try the heavy caching type..maybe?)
