Hi there, first i must say thank you for this ultimate psx emulator.
I'm using is since the very first version and like it.
I'm using Windows 2000 pro & Windows xp build 2495 & 2499.
The Problem:
No picture under Windows XP at all (no sound also)
it looks like working but after going full screen i get nothing -
black screen.
what is wrong ?
My Computer:
Pentium III 1Giga
Nvidia Geforce 2 GTS 64
with the latest drivers (12.90)
and DirectX 8.1

p.s.
why after playing a game i must exit the emulator and start
it again to play another game ? (when using iso's).

about epsxe in one word : amazing
in 2 words : totally amazing !!!

the only thing I can tell you is about the ISO question. Its not just you, this is just something everyone has to do when switching to a different game. You have to do this when playing from a CD also(or if you found a way to switch from CD without a restart then it may not play the second game as well as it should).

Are you having that problem in all games or certain games? What plugins do you have configured, etc.? The more information you can provide about your ePSXe configuration, the more likely we can help (very likely the problem is not your hardware, based on your listed specs).

Heres my testing strategy.

1. Choose any gpu plugin, and the null sound (as in no sound sound not null2) then try to run the bios.

If you get the psx logo its not a gpu plugin problem. If it is still a black screen it is. Try a different gpu plugin.

2. Select your normal spu plugin. Again try to boot from the bios. If it shows the bios logo its not an spu plugin problem. If its a black screen it is.

3. Try an iso of the game. If it boots the cdr plugin is to fault. Try a different one.
If not then the game might not work. Try a different game. If this works then look around the faqs for info on that games as it might need special patches etc...

4. If this still doesn't work well then I'm stumped.

Hi there, thanks for all the help !

well, i'm having the problem with all of my iso's
& original games.

i'm using pete's plugins for music & video
versions 1.50 & 1.10.
for cdr the core plugin works fine. (or the ASPI one, ver. 1.2)

i can run the bios....

and listen to this... i can run the games on win2k !!!!
so the problem is only onder WindowsXP my main o.s. :-(

the compatibility mode isn't good also.

Windows XP is not yet release and it's still in developement. Many things can change until his official availaibility. Dont compare a "stable" OS like W2K or W98 or Me to a beta OS.
Beta mean lots of bugs and many features not yet implemented. Remember of that.

most stable o.s. to date ! even now.
i'm telling you this because ePSXe works on winxp !!!
my friend test it on his version of winxp (same version as mine)
