Well, I wanted to start a thread with slightly more information in it than the usual "help how do I get dolphin to run faster" type thing. So, here goes...
I downloaded 2 roms so far. Both are Metroid Prime 3. However, one rom runs at half the speed of the other. I tried it on the same emulators with the same settings, and I also tried it on different emulators. Why is this?
(Note: I might download a 3rd rom to see if it runs faster, if anyone has a link that would be great, since it is a 4gb torrent and it took 3 days to download.)
On youtube, every video says it runs at 40-60 fps. But when I run it it only runs at 14-25 fps. Even if actual fps is twice that much its still only 30-50 fps, usually 35. Is that because the rom is faulty or my computer? I have a Dual Core 2.8 ghz proccesor, a Nvidia GeForce 8800 OC with all graphics set to low quality. I also have 3 GB DDR ram and windows Vista x86 32 bit.
Why does each new revision of Dolphin suck more? Metroid Prime 3 doesnt run on revisions NEWER? than 3364. Also, it won't let me frameskip in new versions. Wtf is up with this? Why cant I have the simple and useful features from Dolphin 1?
Also, Why is there red texture everywhere. Even on youtube vids I see this. In cutscenes and in Hud there is red texture for no reason, it makes it hard to see the cutscenes... and I juggled every gfx option there was and couldnt fix it.
Other than that the game works fine.
