I have upgraded my pc with the following gadgets:

Processor:Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.5Ghz
Motherboard:Gigabyte G31M-Es2C
Ram:Twinmose 2Gb DDR2
Graphics card:XFX Geforce 9800GT 1Gb
Power supply unit:Thermaltake 500 watt
Monitorhilips 17" CRT

I have changed the battery of my pc as it was causing problems.Everything was fine.But a few days ago a new problem started.When I am running my pc suddenly it turns off.The ups turns off that's why the pc also turns off.What should I do?

The "battery"? You mean the battery that holds the bios settings? Can you get to the bios?

UPS sounds like it's screwed up. Remove it from the equation and try again.

If you dont get power cuts then plug everything in a multi socket thingy

Ditto on the trying without the UPS.

If it still persists, try a different PSU.

Also the batteries in the ups eventually wear out after a number of years. How long have you had yours?

A good UPS will till you how many minutes left after the power goes off.

Do you drain your battery every other week and fully charge it up?
If you don't the ions in your battery will start to have memory and cause energy lost.

I never do this. Maybe thats why my batteries only last for 1 1/2 yers?
