I've heard, that I can use a software named X-Link to get the PS2-Saves directly on my computer. The only things that are needed should be the network disc for the PS2 and a crossover cable. But it doesn't work for me, I'm even not shure that I'm using the right software.
Has somebody experience with this or another advice to get the saves (without using special memory sticks ect.)

We use Datel's MAX Drive. It is not direct, but it allows you to transfer game saves to your PS2. It then uses a USB Flashdrive that you can use to trasfer them from PS2 to PC.

We know this is not what you want, but it is the best way

Okay, I have this USB stick now, but the problem is, that the program is crushing them, so that they have not their origional size (and content).
But I wanted to cheat via hexeditor too. Does somebody know a program with that I can uncrush the saves on my pc.
Has somebody also experience with the hexeditor and ps2 saves?

eh? The Datel software that comes with the drive allows you to move, copy, crush and uncrush.

You can move files without crushing

Yes, that's right, but it seems impossible to uncrush the saves on the flash drive. The program only allows me to uncrush on the memory cards. The pc software is useless, it only manages the saves. Is there other pc software I don't know?

But that's the whole problem: The program crushes the files automatically, if I move or copy them to the flash drive and I haven't found a way to disable this feature.
