For me its Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow & Final Fantasy - Tactics A2 Grimoire of the Rift. I know people may think Castlevania isnt under rated...... but it is. in this day and age, where graphic is king in the land of the blind. its fun to play and not a "life" like some other games. As for tactics A2, all the FF fanboys are like "battle system" and "zOMG story line", man; change is good and what FF needs, people need to enjoy games and not post stamps, by which mean not collect them for the sake of it.

Also, Advent Rising. Not the greatest game ever, but still quite fun. And it's an Orson Scott Card story. Was supposed to be a trilogy, wish he had the chance to finish it.

Wait a minute. System Shock wasn't a high profile game, was it? I remember hearing good things about it long after it was first released. Could it possibly be an underrated game?

indeed. it got over-shadowed by doom 2 which came out a few months later, similar to how SS2 was by half life.

i think it could have sold MUCH more, some games are trash and people get in line to buy crap. I also think that Hotel Dusk: Room 215(my avy) is very very underrated, the game is like no other.
