in any case, you'll need a BIOS.

Just try to place BIOS rom file to 'F:/pcsx2-0.8.1./bios destination, and OMG! it will run it and start to work :thumb:
*hint - just don`t try to ask about where you can get it(exept dumping it from your own PS2) on this forum, so be careful ^^ BTW you ca PM me, and i can help you with this problem :innocent:

I think there is enough stuff that are able to do that; even it is impossible for you ; and after what you said about help may be you under Monitoring and observation ; simple

anyway, what's with the bios with a smaller file size? (around 500KB) the ones that pcsx2 shows with an extra percentage at the end of its name in the bios selection pulldown menu.

That means that your bios is incomplete. A ps2 bios must have exactly 4.096 kb (4MB), so if you have only 500kb, it means you don`t have the full file (and thus nothing will work).
