Final Fantasy IX doesn't like ePSXe 1.6.0, but that's because it crashes in MDECs, so I'd assume it'd work fine in it if you skip them.

It works fine in ePSXe 1.5.2.

Try getting it working under one of those.

Also, it's not essential to skip them to get to Memoria in under twelve hours, and won't it ruin the challenge for you by knowing you didn't even really accomplish it?

It was stalling up in 1.6.0, but worked fine in 1.5.2, so thank you!

Also, I have to contend with the statement that skipping FMVs is cheating, as it's a common practice on the PSX itself. At any rate, it's quite necessary in this particular challenge. It's called the Excalibur II Perfect Game, if you've heard it brought up somewhere before. I hear tell one person was able to just barely edge out all they needed while still viewing FMVs, but the amount of luck and precision involved was ludicrous and I'm not looking to drive myself that insane. >_>

Thanks to others for their input as well.
Well, you're right, I forgot that alot of people did that, but I'm sure Square took into account FMV times and added onto the original total (like if they wanted to make the quest eleven hours, and there was an hour of FMVs, they'd add an hour). You're right, alot of people do that, but if I ever tried it, which I doubt I will, I'd do it without skipping FMVs just to have done it right. In any case, it's be hard to do it that way, so good luck with it.

Most people do the challenge to do it, not for the weapon (also, hence my asking about doing it fully and not skipping the FMVs, even if said method is commonplace and accepted).
