Trick or Treating Age Question

I was just texting my best friend when she asked me what I'd be doing for Halloween night. Since it is usually snowing or raining on Halloween night and considering my condition, I told her that I would probably just be watching horror movies all night. She told me that a bunch of our old friends (friends that I don't consider as friends now) are going to go out trick or treating and she turned them down. The group of friends that are going out that night to ask for candy are older than me, being ages between 22-26.

I thought that was way too old and they should grow up and start to celebrate Halloween the way adults do (going to parties, going to a haunted house, going to horror movies, etc) and leave the begging for treats for the kids.

I don't have a problem with trick or treating when kids are in high school. I don't care if they do it when they're 19 but I think that when you are thru with your teen years, that you should leave the kids to celebrate their Halloween.

So what do you guys think is the appropriate age to not trick or treat anymore? Do you think the group of friends are being immature? Or do you not mind them?

Happy Halloween!

Like xmas/santa, the most fitting age for enjoying the cute aspect of these events should be around 15yo or below. Being older, accompanying children for assisting with their enjoyment of the event would be more natural, I presume.

Attending or organizing parties would be more befitting of young adults, certainly (leaving aside some candy for the eventuality of any trick-or-treaters of course).
Yes, of course I can see them being in their 20s and going trick or treating with their sons, daughters or younger brothers and sisters to help mom and dad with.
It's great that I have 2 nephews to do all of the "dirty work" for me. I'll just drag them around from neighborhood to neighborhood until they've filled up a garbage bag or two and take the stash home and disperse the winnings. Mwa ha ha ha...
I think many people over 20 don't pursue that type the candy when they trick or treat during Halloween.

They'll hit the bars or attend parties dressed up in some costume and get the 'other' type of treat if you get what i mean.

Furries? oO
No, they aren't going trick or treating for drugs and crap like other people our age would do...they are actually going to go door to door to get candy. Freaking Candy.

Okay that is freaky oO... only possible in USA....

I know :p Most os the older girls I know take Halloween as a fine chance to dress literally half naked in public. Eye candy indeed :p

Well they are still in the jr. high mindset. That's why they're being immature and acting like children to go to ppl's houses for candy.
Hey, free food
I don't like xmas, halloween, valentine..etc! surely they are enjoyable, but when the
end, they leave you with empty pockets :dead: & surly face :(..
Why the surly face?
