press f4.
maby you have SIO enabled. or reconfigure the pad.

I've been playing this game loads on epsxe.
and every once in a while, it temporarily does not register the pad.
It might have something to do with holding down 'X' at the beginning of a run...
It definitely doesn't have anything to do with F4 although you do need to use this to save and load...

yeah i finally worked out how to use the f4 button properly and now the game works perfectly, cheers for the help.
