Use epsxecutor and make sure you toggle mdecs to on. Alternatively you can also look in the registry and and turn the mdecs on there. You might also wish to consider dropping your offscreen drawing a level or so.
can you explain mdecs to me? i just totally have no clue what that is.
use pete's soft driver. i have a diamond viper 550. it has the tnt chipset. this works a lot better.
the software mode still won't show the movie, but it did fix sound glith problem.
isn't there a tnt2 video plugin? also it used to be able to download off this site, but where is that dll?
long ago pete's opengl plugin used to be called pete's TNT plugin, but no there isn't any TNT specific video plugin now-a-days.

hmm, if pete's software plugin didn't work, then it's possible 1 of 3 things is happening:

1) the game isn't fully compatible with ePSXe
2) the game CD is scratched
3) you are using FPSE

my guess is #3, the symptoms (MDEC sound but no video) are tipically related to FPSE and not ePSXe.
mdecs are what the fmvs (the movies) are called. It is an option available in epsxecutor when you are configuring a setting for a game. I recommend downloading it from ngemu here. It very likely will fix your problem. No offense, but the other guys here sound basically clueless. You may wish to stick with the opengl plug-in for hardware support and filtering if you appreciate filtering that is.
gerblecannon, a couple things to note before you blast people with your comments like that:

The person was already using pete's openGL when he first posted his problem, and you had suggested him to use executor and that didn't work, and then he tried Software (which is more compatible than openGL).

none of these methods worked, so why you you suggest him to use the same plug-in that he was using when he first asked this question?

it's pretty obvious, that he's not using ePSXe, especially if EVERY game is affected by this problem. This isn't the fist time I've seen someone make this mistake (BTW he never said what emulator he is using).

If he isn't, why would he be posting in this board? :)

Anyway, gerbilcannon is probably right, we've seen countless posts of people with the exact same problem, and in every ocasion I can remember it was caused by having the MDECs disabled.

[]s Badaro
i only use ePSXe and VGS, but ePSXe graphic is much better.

I will try executor to fix this problem, I think other people who also having problem with tnt2 is NOT lying.
When posting in the epsxe forum one can usually naturally assume that it is epsxe the person is using. Looking through a lot of other threads you don't usually see them saying they're using epsxe since that is the natural assumption here. Anyhow thanks for the support Badaro and sorry you took offense liquid. ^,^
It's pretty obvious that he hasn't enabled MDECs...
People should try READING FAQs and README files before posting something.......
this is my sound option, is that right?

can you tell me how to enable MEDCs?
Thanks
Go to Misc settings of ePSXeCutor and enable MDECs and MDEC Timing.
Since you don't seem to want to use epsxecutor you'll need to use regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\epsxe\config and set the string MdecEnabled to 1. That should fix your problems here. And you probably shouldn't enable the spu irq with pete's dsoung plug-in. And I'd actually recommend switching to eternal spu.
The Eternal SPU is significantly better than Pete's in many, but certainly not all, circumstances.
