Whenever the enemy does a sleep attack on me the game freezes. The music keeps playing but the visuals freeze. I'm using pete's opengl 2.6 and here's my video config.

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.6

- 1280x1024 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 1
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- No render-to-texture: off

- Filtering: 4
- Hi-Res textures: 2
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: on
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer effects: 3
- Framebuffer uploads: 2

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 1/4
- Flicker-fix border size: 0

Think if I tried an older plugin it might not crash?

try using a different emulator (different version of ePSXe, or PSXeven).

And disable frame skipping.

re

I turned frame skipping off and tried it in both 1.6 and 1.52. I tried many different plugins all of which failed. I'm trying it in psxeven now.

this problem will occur A LOT in this game. there was one boss fight i had to use save states and reload whenever he cast a spell that would stop the game. from what i remember, i had to do a lot of graphic plugin switching, and messing with options. this game's current emulation is a big pain.
