This might be pushing it, but.. PS3 controller?

Any way to play this on a PS3 controller? I can hook it up and calibrate it, but I doubt there's a way to use it with a dreamcast emulator (although the button layout would work). If not, maybe a 360 controller?
Thanks in advance, NullDC was the only of, oh, four other emulators that worked for me, looking forward to it working even better.

Well my 360 controller works. You just have to use a background program called xpadder to make it work. Which isn't a big deal, you can youtube how to get it running (takes about 5 minutes), and I know xpadder works for ps3 controllers, so you're set. ;)
I tried xpadder with the ps3 controller. It worked, but.. I can't get it to show up on the maple/input configuration on NullDC. Where do I put the file?
And as a side note.. can wireless 360 controllers be hooked up to a PC in anyway?

Edit-Oh god I'm smart, just reread the last post. Youtube =P

Okay, forget the edit. After searching on youtube I couldn't find anything in-depth enough. Where do I put the file?
What file? You use xpadder to assign your controls to keys on your keyboard, leave xpadder running, then go into nulldc options>maple>portA.config keys for player1 and assign your controller as normal. Wireless 360 controllers do work in PCs but you need to buy one with a usb wireless reciever.
Even when I do all that, I can't configure controls for the PS3 controller; when I go to options>maple>portA.config.. it configures controls for the keyboard still. How do I make the controller register on nulldc instead of the keyboard?
Theres no controller support so you cant. You use xpadder to assign a key to a controller button then assign that key to maple. If you cant do that, why not give nullDC 1.0.0 beta 1.6 a try, it has controller support.
Got the 1.6 beta. I can now select the controller but... where do I configure it for nulldc? If I go to "config for player1" it still configures the keyboard. And as much as I like the keyboard it tends to naturally move to the left a bit (okay.. a lot.) when I go forward. It says something about a joystick config at some points while configuring the keyboard but I can't find seem to find it.
Go to select plugins and select nulldc joystick under maple, then go to options>maple>portA make sure your controller is checked, and hit config. You might need to restart the emulator before you can config. As for moving to the left you might be playing sonic adventure 1 or 2 and its a known issue.
Got it.. just had to restart nulldc. And yes, playing sonic adventure 2.
The controller works perfectly, only one major problem in the game. In the very last level, I keep falling through the floor as soon as I start. Just.. a bad file? Or is there possibly some setting I could change to fix it?
Thanks for everything so far, looking forward to BEATING THIS GAME TO THE GROUND, and not below it.. For the hundredth time, but for the first time in years.
hmm thats a strange bug, as for a fix i have no idea, i never tested this game all the way to the end. Hopefully someone else will be able to suggest a fix/workaround.
Did some searching online and, the bug is related to a certain version that's now up for download on many different sites. The bug is on all of them. I'm currently trying to find another one.
I did find one that was pointed out to be different from the version with the bug. Although, I was able to use the same save on it and upon doing that, I found that it's still there. The fact that I was able to use the same save suggests to me that either the downloads are the same file or nullDC associates them somehow.
On the hopeful note that it might be nullDC, what might I be able to do? Or am I just being a bit too hopeful?
