if ssd are going to be mainstream, they need to make it easy for windows have the option of putting the entire swap file on the ram. Even with the flash memory distribution algorithms they use to minimize write cycles on memory cells having the swap on the ssd isn't desirable.

There was also some talk of premature death of ssd's, as well as some talk of their true life span (not marketed life span) being equivalent or less to hdds. Similar to companies signifigant overblown past life-expectancy claims of rewriteable and pressed cd/dvds.

Already possible.
Download the Ramdrive driver, install it and profit.

However, whats the ****ing point. if you have enough memory to use as a ramdrive, why not just ****ing whack the page file to 10MB and use system memory.

Or you could disable the page file, which ever bursts your bubble.
Don't be a dumbass, you are not 'bursting my bubble' with basic computer 101 knowledge

you cannot turn off or eliminate page filing. Windows will always dynamically resizes the pagefile and overrides manual setting regardless if you set pagefile size to zero or disable it via the control panel.

Even if you're willing to do the nitty gritty and disable page filing entirely via regedit manipulation, you will royally screw up all the numerous apps that demand pagefiling in order to work properly.

Stay out of my alcohol.
Nearly all apps can run off the minimum required pagefile (2-10MB's)
