please dont list an xbox or ps3 but is there any electronic item that is cheap or a common thing in a house that can run videos off an external hardrive like can a wii do it cause thats acceptible. it has to be an external hardrive so please list something that can run videos off it (format doesnt matter)

My friend uses something like this.

Cyclops AV - Mvix MV-780HD Hard Drive HDMI 1080p Media Player

It's pretty nifty. He can just stream videos from his computer downstairs up to his bedroom TV withtout having to lug anything or transfer anything.

I'm sure there are cheaper brands out there...search ebay for something similar. My friend didn't pay more then $200.
