Hi!every body:
My question is about Pete's OGL...
"Framebuffer textures=Gfx"
Doesn't Radeon LE supportd "Gfx"?
It's very slowed when I used "Gfx"......
But it's no problem on the Geforce 256 DDR....
It's about VGA's driver or hardware??
my system:
TB1.2G
256MB SDRAM
Radeon LE 32MB DDR & Geforce 256 32MB DDR
CMI8738 Soundcard..
Windows ME...
Epsxe1.40 Pete's OGL 1.52
FinalFantasy IX ..
Running from ISO..
Have somebody can tell me WHY???q>_<p

On this Computer you should try setting Framebuffer-Textures to Emulated VRAM an turn on the Full VRAM Primitives. This should work at good speed. Your 1.2 Ghz Athlon should do this.

Yes, the speed of framebuffer textures is mainly depending on your gfx card and drivers. nVidia put a lotta effort in their framebuffer reading pipeline, so GF cards will prolly be the fastest with this kind of effect. But I've seen good results with 3dfx cards (using d3d plugins, not the ogl one, of course), and I am told that Matrox cards are also fine with d3d.

Also important: some gfx card features (like FSAA) will slow down FB textures/reading heavily, so you should turn them off, if speed gets a issue.

I cant get the Gfx- framebuffer to work at all...
neither D3D or OpenGL.
im using Radeon64DDR & the 7184 Beta-Drivers.

I dont get a slowdown either, but the effects simply show as I wouldve choosen No framebuffer.
Anyone had luck with a Radeon & Gfx-Buffer?

I experience big slowdown with Radeon + gfx setting too...

I haven't tried the D3D plug-ins though ...
Think I'll give that a go ...

It's just a guess but is there a switch for the KTX-Buffer-Extensions in the display propeties? If yes, uncheck it. And if there is a switch for Pagechanging uncheck it, too.
Maybe the names of the functionsare not exactly the same as the ones I mentioned. I tried to translate them from my german driver :emb:
