Is there anyone else here that has the same, or similar feelings as I, about how the new frontpage feels in comparison to the old one?

My feeling is first and foremost, that i miss the small list of recent active threads - as it were my starting point in finding out new topics of discussion.
It was neat, tidy and worked well to that extent.

The second feeling is, that meanwhile the new layout of the frontpage isn't that bad in the whole, the concept seems very different than what the actual forum is, by making a quick draft of a thread in a comment-field-like style and calling them.. "articles"?.

That are my thoughts. other than that i like the work that is put into this nice forum in whole.

I agree. To me it also seems lifeless and lacks the personality that the old layout had.

Yeah. there was nothing wrong with the old layout either.
The new one is just more bloated, and the "article front"-layout doesn't match the forum that ngemu actually is.

But mostly, the "recently posted threads" is what i miss, it was were i always got i glimpse of some of the newest forums discussions to jump into, now i mostly just log in and keep following the same threads i have already posted in.

This is some sort of copy-paste ad-bot, right?!!

Wrong section.

Btw, it's a sig link spammer or link drop bot. It attempts to try and avoid detection by picking up on context sensitive keywords of the forum and posts something related to the topic/niche of the forum. In this case it basically copy/pasted what another member said.

It seems to either scan pages for certain keywords, and inserts or pulls them from a database to make it's posts seem more genuine. These sig link spammers could very well be very lazy human spammers.. :p

On registration it adds links to it's signature, then makes a few posts so the links are viewable to the general public on the forum. Then it logs off and is never seen again.

You would of thought that these spammers would of learned their lesson by now, that it is futile to spam forums where their posts will be deleted on the spot, and they'll be banned.

Yeah. irritating. And it makes one swear over the fact that some people must fall for different types of spam, to make it worth the effort of doing it. Damn, how people would get upset if a random people jumped into casual conversation out in public, tried to act normal and then go on a rant about some product they want you to try :p
