Well, I have the 12 core on the way. Any emulator benchmarks that I should run?
The last build of Project64 vs m64p x86 (2019-01-26) with angrylion's RDP Plus r7-129.

Prerequisites:

For Project64:
Use the portable version (zip), the installer version is useless unless you set the administrative permissions of the folders correctly (NTFS).
Extract angrylion-plus.dll on the Plugin/GFX folder.
Configure pj64 to use angrylion-plus and disable the HLE graphics to use the LLE mode.
Then enter the graphics configuration menu of angrylion-plus to save them for the first time.

For m64p:
Overwrite the old mupen64plus-video-angrylion-plus.dll with the new one.
Change the RSP plugin from 'mupen64plus-rsp-hle' to 'mupen64plus-rsp-cxd4-sse2', and set 'mupen64plus-video-angrylion-plus' for video.
Then unset the checkbox 'DisplayListToGraphicsPlugin' on the RSP plugin configuration.

Games to benchmark:
GoldenEye 007
Perfect Dark - Combat Simulator > Advanced Setup, 8 DarkSims (RocketSims, KazeSims, FistSims, PreySims, CowardSims, JudgeSims, SpeedSims, VengeSims), weapons [Unarmed, N-Bomb, Combat Knife (Throw Poison Knife), Crossbow (Sedate), Tranquilizer (Sedate)] and many explosives (Devastator, Grenade, * Mines, Rocket Launcher, Slayer)
The both Vigilante 8 games...

So ignoring some gimped ram setups, we can expect that the 3600 will perform exceptionally close to the current crop of i7's and i9's in gaming, to a point where the exceptional price difference is not going to warrant the intel for regular gaming.

We can now buy a budget/mid range chip and expect to have a fantastic time. Min frame times are a little worse on the 3600 but that is game dependent. Additionally considering the huge reduction in power consumption it is a value proposition that isn't comparable with intel's best offering.

The 3600 is exceptional value, combine with a budget board and ram you have an incredible difference in overall cost for gaming. Put those dollars towards a better videocard and monitor boys.

So Der8our ran down some XFR benchmarks and the claimed 4.6ghz on the 3900x isn't possible, 4.5 max.

1.35v to get to that rating however is very nice, but temps are kinda high, most likely due to density of the chiplets.

Every 20c down gains an extra 250mhz or so.

Design issue, hot spot is in the corner whereas traditional aio hot plate is designed for the centre. With that offset the cooler cannot run with it's normal efficiency.

Jealous!

Probs get one for home, but waiting for 3950x first.

Awesome!!! I will get that one soon as well ;)

@Kaizen do some cemu(zelda), yuzu and RPCS3 tests as I want to know how it performs on those.
It's been a hectic week, built out my two PC's and completely cleaned my house to make a VR room and had some mates round who've never used VR before.
Today though, I'll be getting round to setting up emu's and testing!

Looking good! have you activated multi thread options in cemu?

Overall seems like AMD have a winner here.
Yeah, I've enabled the triple core recompiler. Another video was taken to show botw without a frame limiter, this way it doesn't drop below 60.

Trying to figure out rpcs3 now for some demons souls but it's not user friendly.

Edit: done

Now that is looking fantastic!!! GOW3 is a better test though. RPCS3 is not user friendly and sadly I don't have the time I once had to bring back @ES and make it easier :p

Here is a video of the cheaper one and it seems like the new Ryzen CPUs are nothing but awesome.

I'll take a look at gow3, I think the cemu settings were off so will retest botw without fps caps.
The chip you've posted is zen+ rather than zen 2 btw

The FPS of Odysee is much higher but absolutely unplayable due to bugs and pauses.

The pause is because Yuzu is building the shader cache but overall it seems to work as good as I expected. I also noticed that you have the exact same issue I had with mario in the game. I can't remember how I fixed that but I think I changed the button somewhere else.

Is it a motion control or something?

You weren't kidding about GoW3, the game crashed on me but the fps were like 20-30

I think the button used for that move doesn't like the triggers and I just used another button for that but I can't remember how I fixed the issue. GoW3 is just as I expected and probably needs some settings to prevent the game from crashing but still pretty impressive performance you get there.

Here is a screenshot of my configuration and I selected the Pro Controller:
