This game runs great except for when I do a stealth kill, then it slows WAY down...like 5fps if that, and resumes normal speed afterward. It's supposed to slow down a little bit but not this bad...help. I will post my specs if need be...but at the moment not at my pc.

Tell us your specs and the plugins you're using. It will help us.

The slowdowns are usually blurring or distortion effects that require a lot from the cpu and the video card. If you're using Pete's gpu, you can try setting Framebuffer Textures to 1-Black, and disabling FVP. You won't get those effects, but you'll get a big speed up. If you really want those effects, try Pete's Soft plugin.

My suggestions:
-Use the Fullscreen mode(why are u playing in a window anyway?)
-Set Framebuffer Textures to "Black". You will miss some effects, but the blurring effects scenes should speed up.
-Disable Mask Bit if the game does not use it.
-Try Pete's D3D.

btw, make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card.
I have Tenchu2, and it runs great, without problems, here. I have Pete's OGL 1.54:

1024x768 32bit
R8 G8 B8 A8
Filtering - 2-Extended
Catching - 3-Palletized (a must to filter sprites correctly)
Off-Screen Drawing - 3
Framebuffer Textures - 2
Alpha Multipass, Advanced Blending and Mask Bit on, like Unfiltered Framebuffer updates. See if that works for you.
Yeah even here on my Cel @488 v3 pci it´s about 30FPS in the scene.

You can set the Framebuffer OFF like ppl already said. and offscreen DRAW. do none.

but you can´t see the stealth kill anymore!
Neither some Boss Cutscenes
I have a PIII600 and it runs great... 192Mb SDRAM. Have you tried Pete's SOft?
