Hello,
I encounter some troubles running Tales of destiny 2 with ePSXe and I found partial solutions with the different versiosn of ePSXe whilst other problems appear. The major problem is the dialogs aren't synchronized with the text boxes (there's no pause until you activate the next dialog by pressing a button as it should normally be) causing the game to freeze. A similar problem occurs in combat where the characters say all the sentences they can use in combat. The game is running just fine if it's customized not to use the speeches (ingame settings) or if ePSXe is configured as following:

sound:
SPU IRQ hack enabled

eternal SPU 1.41: SPU IRQ - force interruption flag7
audio out method = thread

So what's the problem you 'd say? ePSXe 1.52 or 1.60 refuse to keep the SPU IRQ hack enable while version 1.20 does but have some problems handling joypads and memory card (I can't save or use a virtual memory card with this version).

I tried to remove all the installed versions of ePSXe and even removed the entries for ePSXe found in the registry of Windows to make a clean installation but every time the program finds my old plugin settings. What do I have to remove from the registry to make version 1.60 accept the SPU IRQ hack work?

Using the SPU IRQ hack for the Eternal on the Config ---> Sound wouldn't work.
It WILL not keep it enabled unless you are using the ePSXe SPU Core.

To solve your problem, use the SPUasync audio out method, Smooth with a buffer of 32.

I'm having the same problem, the dialog is cut and interupted (sort of like Microsoft Sam). I Have Eternal SPU 1.41, Pete's SPU and Core SPU. I tired Pete's, but it makes it worse. I'm using Eternal SPU with SPUasync - Smooth with a buffer of 32 (DirectSound). Also have Neill's reverb on and SPU IRQ - Forced interuption flag7 on.

What i want to know is if anything solves this probelm at this point.

It's working for me now with these settings:

eternal SPU 1.41

SPU async mode = wait
SPU IRQ - Wait CPU action checked
SPU IRQ - Force interruption flag7 unchecked

And it 'd probably work with sPU async mode smooth.
