Finally a game telling you what's wrong :eyemove:
Guess which four-letter-word is censored by this bulletin board.

Code:
---------------------SYSTEM.CNF---------------------
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLES_514.95;1
VER = 1.01
VMODE = PAL
----------------------------------------------------

...

Using Reversed DMA list to store Z Buffer
UNKNOWN VifCmd: 3
UNKNOWN VifCmd: 2

...

VIF Stalled for more than 2 seconds
Waiting for VIF1
Needs Texture 0
At Texture 0
But what the ****? THe VIF claims not to be stalled
1 Vif1 Interrupts handled
2 Gif Interrupts handled
VIF1 Labels
Label 0 = 3
Label 2 = 3
Label 6 = 5
GIF Labels
Label 0 = 3
Label 1 = 3
Here it loops until you patch like this
Code:
gametitle=SX Superstars PAL SLES51495
comment= 96B76E56
//Skip FMV
patch=0,EE,00335e10,word,24020001
//Skip VIF error messages
patch=0,EE,00278a50,word,10000076
Then you can progress to second memory card check, there no reaction on button press :(
GSsoft performs an extra motobike stunt :heh:

After pressing buttons like crazy, i went a lil further.
Until i got that annoying popup window, which appears some 1000 times.
Therefore i had to press the carriage return button 2 minutes or so :hdbash:

Could someone replace in IPU.C

SysMessage("IPU: Dither not implemented")

with a simple SysPrintF for the next beta?

Digging deeper and deeper...

After disabling the "IPU dither" SysMessage i could access main menu.
It appears that it is underlayed by a video (mainmenu.ipu) which seems to be different from the PSS files.
PCSX2 fails testing D3_CHCR ($1000B000) and prints "IDEC error".
So i skipped that and i could start loading arcade mode then it printed yet another bunch of debug messages.
After disabling that PCSX2 terminates before reaching arcade menu :(
